Discovering Sudhanshu!

I am so desperate to write something today. After writing two decent articles in the week and getting some good comments from friends, I’m tempted a lot indeed!  But what should I write? Frankly speaking I don’t have the right material to give a start today. And now the following thoughts are storming my tiny brain – Am I obsessed with the feeling of being liked? Am I an attention seeker? Am I really a writer?
During childhood days, everyone used to praise me for whatever art related or academic stuff I used to do, e.g. scoring exceptionally well in exams, drawing a picture, playing tabla, writing an essay, playing cricket and blah , blah, blah. I simply loved the words of praise (Generally most of the kids do I guess, at least the kids of my times), parents used to compare their kids with me and well, I was an example set! (I think the children who were compared must have thought of punching me.) To maintain the image gained, I used to strive a lot. So, I was a Perfect (?) child, huh!
Some fine day, I had a weird but a right thought, “Are all these things giving me The Happiness or whatever I am looking for?”  The answer was quite straightforward, “No!” Disappointment! Disgust! Ridicule! Wounds! Several severe wounds! Desperate for scoring well in exam, by heart the whole thing, recite, who the hell in this world cares whether I genuinely understand the phenomena! A perfect sketch – a landscape – 3 triangular mountains, A sun popping out, A typical house (The worst imagination. I used to draw the front face of the house parallel to the cutting edge of the paper and still I used to draw the side walls! I still wonder, “How could I be so dumb?”), a couple of trees and a cow (which looked like a goat). Playing tabla, huh? Beat it like hell, 8 people are playing it simultaneously, I must be the loudest, No matter whether I am playing it correctly. An essay, narrated by mother (most of the times) or copied from somewhere, the length matters, contents hardly! Cricket was a passion and the reason for nurturing ego. I was reasonably well in cricket when I was a kid. I liked dominating, tried crossing the fence on every single occasion, bowled as fast as I could and hated the most while tasting a defeat. No creativity! No gusto! No control! No endurance! Only brittleness! Selfishness! Ego!
The disappointing “No” changed my world. A wave to bring out the Change got stronger. Thinking out of the shell helped. Parting from 3 prime bad qualities was actually not so tough, hence I could succeed easily. Nothing out of the world was done, a simple thought served the cause, “I want to be Happy, I want to honest and humble.”  And finally Sudhanshu is discovered who studies to gain knowledge, who writes because he wants to express, who cares because he loves people, who derives fun in drawing alienated figures, who plays tabla to uncover the peace, who makes friends because he wants to share, who plays cricket to learn persistence. Still, physically everything is same as childhood, but the outlook has changed. I am happy to discover The Sudhanshu. I'm not perfect, I'm not great, I'm true to myself, I'm flexible.
A blend of various feelings has captured my mind at this stage. But, I am quite happy and relaxed. This article was not intended; in fact I never thought I could write this! Being weird helps. I have nothing to prove now because I have the real treasure with me. I guess, I have answered the questions which were storming my brain when I initiated the article. This article isn’t well structured and the reason is quite obvious. I’m going to tag many in this piece of literature and even this reason is quite obvious. (This statement holds the core of the article.)

Being Woman!

We, Indians, always proudly say that our culture is the best in the world and it is certainly true. But do we follow it? Our culture respects women, do we? Men have always tried dominating women in our society. It is seen that men hardly respect women by heart, and I mean it. You'll find 'n' people (men) fighting for woman rights, but scarcely they do it by heart...!
I feel Indian women are the most beautiful, the most efficient. They are great mothers, daughters, wives, friends, colleagues, mentors, teachers..! I may be biased, but I am true! A woman plays so many roles in a lifetime, managing relations, emotions and people! But, we don't really respect them..we torture them, molest them, rape them, dominate them , neglect them, harass them! At an extreme, we abort a girl child before birth. The reality pinches indeed. :(
We judge women, suffocate them with our never ending expectations. Imagine how horrific life will be in absence of women! Who will manage our houses? Who will care for us? How messy will be the world? How egoistic men would run the world? Who will look after the kids? Who will cook delicious cuisines for us? Who will support us when we feel low? Who will guide us when there's no way ahead? Who will scold us for not doing the things right? Who will praise us for the good deeds? Who will understand our emotions the best? Who will?? Place yourself in the situation. Being woman is far difficult. Do give a serious thought.

Looking for a "Girl" Friend!

Ever since I was a boy, I never had much interaction with girls. The Element of shyness always popped out. As I grew, the fear of teasing by friends added up. But there was (? Is ) always a Hope, ‘Ummeed par hi to duniya kayam hai!’ As I moved to the next level, The junior college, “The Cut off factor” dominated the life and I was disconnected from the Real world. And I was officially declared as a Nerd by girls during Engineering! L Poor me. Slavishly devoted (?) to the world of equations, formulae and problems. But trust me, I still believe, solving a Thermodynamics problem is far easier than talking with a Girl. I must admit What I exactly mean by a “Girl” friend. Simply a Girl as a friend. No other thought intended, point to be noted fellas.
So the phobia and the tag of being a Nerd always kept me away from girls. And the funniest part is I am a Mechanical Engineer, a class with hardly 10 girls. So, this had reduced the probability to a much higher extent. Let me give some glimpse of the outside world which had assumed me a Nerd before I entered the world of Engineering. I guess the high diopter lenses helped the cause. Frankly speaking, I never considered myself a Nerd. I gave ample time for my hobbies, friends and other activities. If I would have been the one, I would have scored a 94 in matriculation, a 90 in junior college and 9 point something in Engineering. Neither of the above mentioned things happened with me. Although I must admit that I love academic studies.
So, here I appeal all the girls, I am not a calculator. Being of your species, I have a heart. I too have an emotional side. I have spent a good amount of time thinking beyond the laws of physics, the calculus, the mechanics and much more nerdy stuff. I too like flowers, I too love music, I can cook as well though I am not an expert and I can whistle too. I can be subjective as well, Ask me about my hostel days. Of course, I am biased towards my kind of talks, which may sound geeky at times, just ask me, “How do you find nature?” I can express it with a flavor of rhyme. I do not intend to prove anything through this piece of literature, but I think I should remove the dust over my image. I have a spark that propels me to express myself defeating the phobia I have been influenced by!

Listen to this enchanting story of my life,
The fun and the Spark in the survival strife!
From deep down the trench, as high as sky,
My wings of freedom do help me fly!
Connecting the dots, I make a Fantastic Polygon,
Rainbow must be jealous to see my colours full on!
Spreading the love around, I am a Vector,
And a tiny Honeybee rejoicing the sweet nectar!

Girls, this article might have brought a concave curve on your face, right? A giggle is a victory clinched indeed. So, are you on board with me?
