MY DREAMLAND

Among the green woods, under the roof of the sky
I live on a land where the birds are set to fly!

Away from the crowd and the buildings go high,
To spread the green, the river passes by!

The wind blows by with the speed of sound,
On the tune of the Jay, the field sways around!

Blend of the sun shine and the droplets of rain,
Curvature of the colours is the heavenly gain!

In the glory of my land, I could write the poems miles a long,
Feeling quite proud to say to this paradise I belong!

SPECIAL SPECIES!

Dedicated to parents!

"SPECIAL SPECIES!"

You're the two twinkling stars who illuminate my life,
A congenial man & loving wife!

Being your son is definitely a gain,
I love you more than words can explain!

I rejoice the life with the coherence we share,
Thank you, for love, trust & always the care!

I've known you guys since I was born,
For these great 22 years that love hasn't worn!

Dad, the home is often spelled with your euphonious sound,
You're really a great guy to be always around!

Mom has her own ways,
To cheer me up on saturnine days!

The years have gone so fast, I can't believe,
Mom n dad, you've helped me achieve!

You're the 2 special people in my life,
An awesome guy and his wonderful wife!

I don't have more words because I'm novice,
It's the flow of feelings through my heart's voice!

Be the Phoenix!

Even if the things are badly broken apart,
it's never too late to make a new start.

When nothing works out yor way and you feel low,
look at the stars in the sky and wonder why do they glow.

Thoughts are flying at the speed of light,
feel the thrill and keep on the fight.

The fear of miseries will vanish by,
when the wings of wisdom 'll let you fly.

Break out the shell & ignite your mind,
but the spark within, you've to find!

Even from deep down the trench, you'll depart,
the fins of freedom will help you start!

Be the PHOENIX who rises from the ashes,
dream the triumph, you've almighty's wishes!! :-)

TOUR DE HYDERABAD!

4 months back,I had landed in hyderabad, the reason being preparation for GATE. Now my classes are going to end tomorrow and I'm making it to home on 20th Oct. Here I'm attempting to recollect some of my memories of this awesome city!
It was 16th June, '11, morning 6:11, when I reached here from Mumbai by Hyderabad Exp. after a prolonged journey for 17 hours. I had to wait at the Hyd'bad Deccan station for 4 more hours as my mates were reaching by 10 am (What the hell!!). Finally, we all met at ACE ACADEMY(The GATE coaching Institute) at 12 noon and the Real journey begun!
Before coming here, everyone of us had already decided the spots for site seeing! (:P) rather than preparing a study plan. I, Pratish, Bhagwant and Shrikant hired a room near ACE ACADEMY worth a rent of 10000 bucks a month, wasn't a bad deal at all cuz the landlord provided 5 beds, a geyser, a cooler(we didn't operate this!) and a refrigerator too! Atul joined a couple of weeks later.
For, the first week,we'd class for mere 2 hours a day, so we roamed a lot. We had been to Charminar, Lumbini park, Birla Temple and the Planetarium, NTR garden, Necklace road, TTD Balaji Temple. But, from the second week till now onwards, we had rigorous classes, around 7-8 hrs a day and even 12-14 hours at times (hushh...)!! It was fun to do RE ENGINEERING out here, revising all the concepts right from the basics and detailing a few to an appreciable depth. We've been under the guidance of DRDO scientists, NIT profs and giants from the industries for the sake of coaching, so spending 7-8 hrs a day wasn't a tedious task!
Thanks to Telangaanaa strikes which provided the necessary breaks in between, but it hampered the local life terribly (it is also troubling maharashtra now a days because the coal supply to vidarbha and marathwada is halted since 28 days!). All the shops, malls, hotels, buses, rikshaws, theatres closed, indeed a boring day to spend!!!! We'd been to several movies, 2 on an average per month, just to get refreshed a bit. BIG BAZAAR is a special place for me and Pratish, cuz none can provide the delicious BADAM MILK than the Bhiyya over there. The most important part of my life over here is MASALA DOSA, trust me, I ate more than HUNDREDs of these, and probably on 20th would be the last one from the MOTU BHIYYA from here! :(....He is the best DOSA maker I've ever met. I bet, you can't stop at a single dosa, must go for a second round, this too for mere 14 bucks, cool na!! :) Will be badly missing my favourite cuisine! Of course, VADA PAO hai na!!!! ;)
Yesterday, our gang visited the SALAARJANG museum, it was awesome, art at its best!! The collection of the king ranged from the Europe to the south Asia, brilliantly carved sculptures, elegantly designed ITALIAN furniture, Japanese porcelain are work were the best of his collections! The city has many such monuments like the Nizam's palace, the Golkonda fort, proving the Royal nature of the rulers!
Today, I'll be going for the shopping! wow! will be a fun for sure!! Will Miss you HYDERABAD! Due to lack of time, i could not organize this article properly, but i guess I've randomly put-forth all the memories with me, if missed, will be adding for sure. It's good to be RANDOM at times! ;)

ALIENS!

Listen to this enchanting story of my life,
about the buddies, who are OASIS in the survival strife!

It all begins up with the wonderboy Heywood,
sweetest amigo who made life's so good!

He's complete package of expression and emotions,
'The Alchemist', though, confused several occasions! :-P

Nagesh is a dude with spectacular brain,
lives the life to the fullest, no worries, no pain!

A nocturnal fellow with a keyboard on base,
let it be ANGRY BIRDS or The MOST WANTED RACE!

Mahesh(rao) is a tiny, glowing photon of energy,
an efficient chap with a maximum exergy! ;-)

Pumped up always, enthu reaching the skies,
Spicy funky HINDI tadka, is what NANU likes! :-D

Another MINDBLOWING creature rises whom I call Baboo,
life runs @ speed of sound without any taboo!

His NETWORK shows full range when it comes to friends,
The growing bars of affection have no dead ends!

Connecting these dots makes a fantastic polygon,
rainbow must be jealous to see my colours full on!

Spreading the love all around, these ALIENS are vector,
I'm a tiny honeybee rejoicing the sweet nectar! :-)

The Buddies So True!!!

Among the green fields and the mountains so high,
I found true buddies like stars shining in the sky!

I can tell you guys my secrets so deep,
& trust that your heart in you'll keep.

I want to be the reason for your warm smiles,
I'll share memories all across the miles!

I'll be a shoulder to cry when you'll feel blue,
I know you'll also be there when I'll need you!

When life will be dark & I'll be in fears,
I'll need your hands to comfort my tears!

Thank you my buddies to make me your true friend,
i'll be there for you right till the end!

15 Prominent changes I’ve experienced at BATU

It is said, “Variety is the spice of the life!” But the spices may not always please your taste buds; at times it may even ruin the taste! Things may be annoying, but those who adapt the changes quickly, survival isn’t really an issue for them.
Here I’m listing down some prominent changes which I’ve experienced during my engineering life. The word “change”, refers to social, cultural, physical variations.
1. The most noticeable changes occurred in the autorikshaws! During 1st year those people charged mere `.5/- for college-phata run carrying at the most 4 passengers. But now, the scene is miserable. The rikshaw is loaded with 6 people (What the hell!!!) & the fare has been hiked to `. 7/-.
2. During 1st year, passing was 6.0 & distinction was 7.75, but due to efforts by few (social workers-cum-students!), it reduced to 5.5 and 7.5 respectively.
3. There were continuous changes in exam pattern. It seems that the current pattern for the 1st year students would work out to be worth.
4. In 1st year, people were not much foodie, but as the taste of the food kept on deteriorating, the choices emerged out and obviously the ‘Taparis’ excelled.
5. Cell phones have become an integral part of students’ lives (though the purpose varies!).
6. Few people have become music maniac. Especially the English sound tracks are on a boom!
7. The sleeping hours keep on increasing as you move on. Contrary is the case for studies!
8. Over the years (4 years), students have learnt what life is. Perhaps, BATU has given everyone buddies for lifetime.
9. The continuous hikes in petrol price have been really annoying. But, it couldn’t affect the rides!
10. The frequency of parties kept on increasing significantly. During final year, I’ve been a part of celebrations without any reason! But, the things done this way brought an eternal smile on my buddies’ faces which is indeed priceless!
11. Pet names have got good market all the way! In fact, it has become the popularity index.
12. The attendance goes on declining as the years pass by! But, few students don’t change in this aspect, they maintain poor attendance throughout.
13. The students have explored few great spots in the building. The students section, noisy court, silent court, space near ATM center, canteen have been the ‘areas’ of interest!
14. BATU has given the strength to tackle any kind of environment, food habits, and people. So, survival in the world outside isn’t going to be tough. Probably this is the biggest asset for the students which will be useful for the lifetime.
15. Students used to curse the university and the place in the initial stage. But at the end of the day, they’ve understood that it’s the people that make a place worth living. So, now they are reluctant to move their feet off this holy place.

51 Things I have learnt @ BATU

1. 1st year is the best time of ya life, live it to the fullest!
2. In 2nd year, you recognize your branch (and profs too! ;)).
3. You start worrying about CGPA in 3rd year.
4. Final year is for relaxing and rest. (Few people spend it worrying about placements. :O)
5. Do regular exercise; otherwise you’re likely to become pompy – ompy. ( I donno the magic of mess food, it’s a topic of research…)
6. Pay attention in the classes…..try and build conceptual understanding. It helps in scoring good marks in exams even if you study less @ home/room.
7. Be participative in sports and cultural activities.
8. Make a lot of friends for lifetime; but the quality matters.
9. Be honest wid ya parents, neva cheat them in any case.
10. Share stuff wid ya mates…when you live wid room-mates, it is obvious that things are there to be shared.
11. Keep some time for ya hobby.
12. Try to improve the communication skills.

14. Neva get carried away on emotional front, be strong.
15. Limit the use of cell phones, I know it’s hard even to imagine so; but trust me, it’ll surely work.
16. Be a part of social networking sites and use it for good purpose.
17. Gathering isn’t the time to go home. It is one of the best pastimes in BATU, so be a part of it and live the glorious moments.
18. Listen to the people around and take ya own decision, don’t blame ya mates.
19. Celebrate every special moment like it is the last moment in ya life.

24. Drive safely. Use bikes as a transport media only, the temptation to perform stunts can ruin ya life.
25. Neva regret being a part of this university. In fact, feel fortunate that you’re doin’ graduation at such a pleasant place.
26. Always be positive and motivate the people around for being the same.
27. Passing out here is not so difficult. Put in intellectual efforts (it doesn’t mean that you should by-heart to previous years question papers; such things tend to miss the essence of learning. ;)), stay away from Remedials and KTs.
28. Organize trips and visit as many places as you can….trust me you’ll fall in love with the beauty of konkan!
29. If you’re into a relationship, be honest and trust ya partner.
30. Stay away from drinking, smoking, etc. You may think of this as a status symbol, but ultimately it’ll ruin ya life. Some people have a misconception that all the worries get dissolved in the liquor; leave away such foolish thoughts, it won’t work!
31. Try to innovate than being creative only.
32. Use electricity judiciously.
33. Wash the clothes on ya own; neva trouble mom for this purpose.
34. Be a gentle and polite person; that doesn’t mean that you can’t be nostalgic.
35. Try to learn basic cooking, it’ll surely help I future. :D
36. Take a proper sleep; most of us are nocturnal but sleep for at least for 7 hours.
37. At least study one subject in depth with interest, this may guide you In career.
38. Keep ya monetary transactions clear. Avoid borrowing money from friends on regular basis.
39. Appreciate friends for their achievements. This’ll motivate them to do things even better.
40. Neva feel bad to say sorry. Saying sorry won’t let you down but it’ll strengthen the bond.
41. Neva lose ya temper @ the worst moment, fight right through with patience.
42. Do visit various tapari’s in the campus, some of them can give you nice culinary treats! ;)
43. Be flexible, adapt the changes quickly.
44. Use summer vacations for some productive cause. Opt for CAD courses or preferably get engaged in industrial training.
45. Don’t hate ya Profs, please refer to pt. 23.
46. Neva miss the b’day parties. These moments won’t repeat in life later, so live them like anything.
47. Keep on teasing ya mates, & neva feel bad when teased. It could well be your popularity index in the class, so be happy when teased.
48. Laugh out loud, smiles are priceless!!
49. Pursue your dreams like anything (like hell ;)).
50. Care for ya near ones, neva let them feel alone.
51. Keep smiling, be happy!!!
